Careers at letassess.org

We write tenant references in plain English and we build the phone screens people actually finish. If that sounds like your kind of work, read on.

The work

Someone is trying to rent a home. An agent has asked for a reference. Our job is to get a true answer back the same day when the file is complete, and to be careful when it is not. That means clear writing, forms that behave on a small screen, and a habit of treating people’s addresses and income as private even when you have looked at a hundred of them this week.

The team is small. We work in a hybrid way from Basingstoke, United Kingdom and from home elsewhere in the UK. You will talk to tenants who are stressed and to agents who are in a hurry. Both deserve a straight reply.

What is on offer when we are hiring

  • A salary we review once a year, talked about in the first conversation rather than after the fifth
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working, with remote days that are actually remote
  • Pension contributions
  • Time and money for a course when the work needs it

Right now

There are no open roles. We still read notes from people who have done customer support, engineering, or the unglamorous middle of lettings and compliance. Send a CV to [email protected] and say what you are good at in a paragraph, not a list of buzzwords. We keep it for the next time something opens.
