We help people finish a tenant reference when they are trying to rent a home, and we try to do it in language you would actually use out loud.
Why this exists
Renting a home in the UK already involves a viewing, a holding deposit, a van, and at least one argument about whether the sofa will fit through the door. The reference should not be the part that feels like a second job. Agents ask for one because they have to know the rent is realistic. Tenants delay it because the instructions arrive as a wall of email. letassess.org is the bit in the middle: a phone friendly way to give the facts, and a same day result when those facts are complete.
The company behind the site is Procius Limited, company number 03656962, registered in England and Wales. The office is at The Square, Basing View, Basingstoke, RG21 4EB, United Kingdom. You do not need to visit it. The reference is done online.
What we will and will not do
We check identity, address history and affordability, and we send the result to the agent who asked. We do not choose who gets the flat. We do not insure the rent, sell contents cover, or switch your broadband. Other names in this market do all of that. We would rather be clear about the one job.

How we talk
The pages are written the way you would explain it to a friend who has never rented. Short enough to read on a phone. Long enough that you are not left guessing what “affordability” is supposed to mean. If a sentence only makes sense to someone who already works in lettings, it does not belong on the tenant side.
We are independent. We are not your letting agent, not your landlord, and not a government service. Your agent may still have their own steps after the reference comes back. That is their process, and it is normal.
